I know, I know, the title is a bit weird but it simply says this, “Income is coming in!” Keep reading to find out what it really means. Friend, don’t turn around now from reading this; rather, turn something else around in your life…your incoming income!

Bad News: Financial Woes

Income coming in! How does that sound after a year of job loss, financial woes, food bank assistance, depleted bank accounts, and retirement funds? People need a break; people need a steady income. Last year was not a good year for more than a few. I mean, it was a year unprecedented…a year unlike any other year I’ve ever experienced. Don’t get me wrong, people are accustomed to problems, but last year…like I mentioned, “unprecedented” in terms of pain, pressure, and problems.

Last year, it was bad news here, there, and everywhere. On TV, the internet, in newspapers and magazines. Believe me, a lot of unwanted conversations took place among family members at dinner tables, in bedrooms, living rooms, and family rooms, about how they were going to make ends meet, or how the kids would fare with remote schooling. Families had to adjust normal activities to accommodate their school age children. Those accommodations evolved into other problems for them. Then the issues with virtual schooling itself. It was just a bad year unfortunately.

Featured News: People Need Money

Now, we’re three months into 2021; and while things are looking a tad bit brighter, it’s still troubling times for some. As a matter of fact, as I am writing this blog, a TV News Anchor reporter mentions the money problems folks are still experiencing as a result of last year’s financial woes. People are looking for a steady supply of money to come in. And not just on a one time basis. Yay for stimulus money. Relief can’t come quick enough for many. Yes, stimulus money went out at the beginning of the year; people need MORE money. Life has been uncertain for folks too long.

Bad News: Loss

In 2020, bad news took its toll. Every time I turn around, I was hearing about somebody’s demise. Seems like everyday, somebody I know was grieving a loss. Mind you, I lost my precious mother in 2020 too. If it wasn’t relevant to “death,” the bad news was about a business loss or closure as a result of lack of business. I guess you can call that, “death of a business” since it no longer exists. COVID 19 came with a destructive force, it really did, and it didn’t let up immediately and still hasn’t, though vaccines are being administered now. Thank God for vaccines!

Good News: Gospel

People are anxiously awaiting the flow of income once again. Still others are anxiously awaiting a flow of income equivalent to their former income salary. Yes, literally, people are anxious about their income situation. They’re waiting on that day of no more masks…the day of normalcy because to them, no more masks, is an indication of income normalcy.

I don’t have a prediction about our return to normalcy, but I do have a sure word of encouragement! We may not get the “good news” we want from watching Good Morning America, CNN, FOX, or any other news network or outlet, but we can surely get a plethora of “good news” from the Gospel….AND get it everyday! The Gospel is “Good News!” It’s not only “Good News,” it’s true news! Nothing fake about it. It’s news you can bank on. News you can depend on to be good because you can depend on God who is good!

World News: The World In 2020

Okay, so yes, what’s God to do with income? Well, one thing for certain, He will supply all our needs, but He doesn’t mind, at all, if a fountain of “income” is turned on in our life that results in a steady flow of income. How about that! Nothing vain about steady income…nothing wrong with it. No one wants to ever be caught again in a net of “lack” as in 2020. Neither does God want it!

When Jesus’s boys (His disciples) had toiled all night in fishing and caught nothing, He told them exactly what to do to catch a plethora of fish…”Cast your net on the right side of the boat.” (John 21:6). I mean look at what He says, “Cast the net on the right side.” Jesus wasn’t bashing them for non-productivity in a field some of them were very familiar with…”fishing,” but He’s God. He knew the one thing, the right thing they needed to do. So He told them, in essence, to cast the net in another location of the water. They’d done the same thing over and over again and caught nothing. Now they just needed to do the right thing. When they obeyed, they caught so many fish, they couldn’t hardly haul the fish to shore!

Do the Right Thing

Friend, whatever Jesus tells you to do is the right thing to do. Jesus’s mother says to some workers at a wedding banquet, “Whatever He tells you to do, do it.” (John 2:5). What am I saying? I am saying to do the right thing! Change courses, change directions, change locations, change your situation! Make a change in your life!

There are times we know the right thing to do and won’t respond. I am positive there were many, in 2020, who were wishing for a steady flow of income after losing their job. What’s that idiom, “You don’t miss the water till the well runs dry.” God knows that’s the truth. People lost income at no fault of their own but they surely can attest to missing that weekly and bi-weekly flow of income. Things were dark…too dark. Some were hit hard with both job loss and kinfolk loss. They lost family members at the same time they experienced financial challenges. It exacerbated things, it complicated things.

The Right Thing to do

The right thing to do in all your situations is to “Cast thy cares on Him for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7). But whether you cast your net on the right side to increase your income of fish, income of goods, money, or livelihood, or cast your cares on Him because He (God) cares for you, do the right thing! I say it again, “You can’t go wrong when you do the right thing!”

There are things you can do–things you can put in place right now for God to be able to work on your behalf in good times for future challenging times…for there to be a mechanism of steady income and increase in times when everybody else is experiencing lack. Not that we want others to suffer but we have to help ourselves before we can help others. Let me remind you that the entire world experienced devastation last year. It was like, “Okay, where can I go to get relief to my money problem, my mental problem, my marital problem, my major problem (uncertainty)? How long is this going to last?” Those questions were foremost in the minds of people. In case you didn’t relize it, but a major cause of anxiety, last year, was “uncertainty.” And many experienced it. There were no good answers to desperate question.

Getaway

If people could “getaway” from it all, for the sake of “emotional” well being, because of not experiencing money problems, they would have, but there were concerns about traveling in general. I wanted to travel but had concerns; others wanted to travel too but had drawbacks due to risks associated with the pandemic. Kids wanted to go on their annual vacation. It was too risky. Then too, there were restrictions regarding travel, so there you go.

I digressed, but by the time a famine arrived in Egypt, Joseph had already stored up enough for Egypt to become the “go to” point for the world. People came to Egypt. (Genesis 41:41-57). Joseph knew it was coming. His family benefitted because of his top promotion (second in command). Matter of fact, Joseph became the number one man under Pharaoh. (Genesis 42:1-38). Daddy God looked out for His people through Joseph. It was in times of plenty God gave wisdom for escaping the famine….the inevitable bad times. I thank God that, being retired, my source of income was untouchable in 2020. I had a steady income, but that wasn’t the case for others. So I say to you that can’t say that your 2020 income was untouchable and are still feeing the pain of it…”In comes income” if you can believe it.

Exciting News: Income is Coming In

Yes, “Income is coming in!” Isn’t that exciting? Who doesn’t want the reality of that statement in their life? Oh yes, a whole lot of us do! I do too, although I have a steady retirement check. I’m going for a steady increase in my income, and I’m making it happen by the favor of God and by various forums in one setting and many ways. Have you heard of streams of income from one source? I have! Keep reading! Don’t turn around now friend, turn your income around if anything!

So what’s your famine? What’s got you famished? What’s your family to do without the “leader of the pack” leading the way with “rock solid” income? Leading with double income?

If you’re insane enough to believe, “income is coming in” before it happens, then stay here till the end. Sometimes, that’s what it takes…getting mad enough to do something about a situation. As a matter of fact, God’s in favor of a “turn-around” of your economic situation. He wanted it all along. But you have to give Him something to work with!

Breaking News: God gives power to get wealth

Yes, a pandemic has messed with your income. God is still faithful. He is the One who gives power to get wealth. (Deuteronomy 8:18). Yes, that’s right. You want to break the back of poverty? Do so with your ability for God has given you ability to become wealthy! My friend, what will you do with that thought, that truth? What will you do with your God-given ability, your life, your talent, especially when there are self-employment jobs, side hustles, that lead to passive income or simply put…a steady flow of income! Remember this, too, “Your gift will make room for you.” (Proverbs 18:16). Yes, breaking news indeed.

Get a Real Job

I’m just going to say it, “GET A REAL JOB!” Not that you don’t already have a real job but there’s always bigger and better. God doesn’t want you to have another year like 2020. You want income coming in when one well dries up? Then position or reposition yourself for steady income. Yes, folks were laid off last year; some are still laid off, but everybody’s not laid off. Folks had purchasing power last year. They still do! Are you servicing these people in some way because you have a mechanism in place that meets needs and guarantee steady income? Ladies, I know for sure women were still buying jewelry. I was too! Folks were still booking hotels. At least, the ones with no traveling concerns. People were still buying books. In other words, people were still spending money. How much of that money was steadily coming to you?

Don’t Sleep on Opportunities

I know a lot of people shy away from companies like “Mary Kay, Paparazzi, and Travel Companies,” but for those of you who know you can change your income significantly by them, don’t sleep on these opportunities. Some of these opportunities don’t require a whole lot; surely they have reasonable start up costs but the money you make is better than good for a whole lot of folks! Be one of the ones that’s making money while you sleep! It’s called a steady income without a whole lot of effort after the initial investment/work! Friend, give God something to work with. Write an E-book that solves a problem. Become your own boss. Start a Blog. Develop a Product. Sell products. I’m telling you, some companies have ways to help you acquire the unaffordable start-up costs, if you only check out the opportunities, at least I know my travel resource does.

Think about your skills and work them to millionaire status! You may have lost your job, lost income, but did you lose skills? Probably not, so go to FIVERR and UPWORK to see how you can monetize your skills and bring in some extra income.

God has a “turn-around” system and I like it! The foundation of it is Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto Him Who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all you can ask or think according to the power that works in you.” God’s ready! Are you ready for your Ephesians 3:20 blessing, a 320 or higher BMW car, a $320,000 plus home, a $320,000 plus bank account, or even an Ephesians 3:20 type business where it’s exceeding and excelling in every possible way it can? Can God? Yes, God can! And don’t forget about the small investments you make! Come on somebody with the “Ephesians 3:20” blessings!

Take the Limits Off

Maybe you don’t believe all this positive belief and positive speaking stuff but I can assure you, you’ll get results when it’s aligned with God’s Word! You tried negative thoughts, negative speaking…now turn all of that around to positive thoughts and speaking positively about your financial situation, and see what kind of results you get. All I am trying to do is get you to think outside the box cause certainly God can work outside of our boxes! Friend, take the limits off of God and know that there’s something in you that God can use to bless you with an Ephesians 3:20 type blessing! Think about it and think long! What others are experiencing in the way of abundance is not impossible for God to do in your life!

So yes, one more time, look at the title, again, “In comes Income.” Now consider these three interpretations of the title:
